Roofing Services in Dublin & Wadsworth, Ohio

GAF Master Elite · Licensed & Insured · 400+ Five-Star Reviews

Ohio is hard on roofs. Freeze-thaw cycles work at every seam through the winter, summer storms bring hail with real energy behind it, and the temperature swing between January and July is wide enough to fatigue materials that would last decades somewhere milder.

Overview

Repair or Replace?

This is the question almost everyone arrives with, and the honest answer depends on three things: how old the roof is, how widespread the damage is, and whether an insurance claim is in play.

A roof under fifteen years old with damage confined to one slope is usually a repair. A roof past twenty with granule loss across every plane is a replacement, and patching it is money spent twice. Between those two, it comes down to what the inspection finds under the shingles.

If a storm caused the damage, the calculation changes entirely — insurance may cover a full replacement even when a repair would technically hold. That is worth knowing before you decide.

Materials We Install

Architectural asphalt shingles cover the large majority of what we install, and GAF Timberline is the workhorse. They handle Ohio hail reasonably, they carry the strongest warranties available, and they look right on almost every house in the state.

Metal is a genuine long-term play — fifty years is realistic, and standing seam sheds hail rather than absorbing it. It costs meaningfully more up front and it is not right for every roofline.

For low-slope sections like porch roofs and additions, we use membrane rather than shingle. Shingles need pitch to shed water, and putting them on a shallow slope guarantees a leak eventually.

What GAF Master Elite Actually Means

It is not a marketing badge. GAF requires licensing, insurance, a documented track record, and ongoing training, and they cap how many contractors hold it in any given area.

The practical benefit is warranty coverage. Master Elite contractors can write the Golden Pledge, which covers workmanship as well as materials — and workmanship is where roofs actually fail. A material warranty is close to worthless if the installer nailed too high and the shingles blow off in year four.

Questions

Common Questions

Most single-family homes are a one to two day job once we start. The variables are roof size, complexity, and weather — we will not install in rain, and cold slows shingle sealing.

Architectural asphalt typically runs 20 to 25 years here. Ventilation is the biggest factor in whether you get the high end or the low end of that range.

Yes, and we do it regularly. Inspections are free and we would rather have an honest relationship than a sale.

Yes. Storm claims are a large part of our work — we document damage, meet the adjuster, and manage the claim through to final payment.
